Join in the Christmas Spirit!
Advent starts at Open Door Church the Sunday after Thanksgiving (11/26). This year, we'll be looking at "The Gift of Christmas." We'll be taking some extra time to reflect this year, with communion and time for contemplation. In the season of busyness, taking a moment to remember the reason we are so busy is worth the time.
Baby Dedication: Sunday, December 10th
As we celebrate the birth of Christ, we're also celebrating the new babies of the church. We'll be dedicating children during our morning services at our Edenton Campus. You can sign up on this site to participate if you would like to commit to raise your child in a godly home.
Edenton Campus All Church Party and Children's Program: Sunday, December 10th - 6:30PM
Bring an appetizer or dessert to share. The kids will have a program prepared with some classic Christmas songs, a special telling of the Christmas story (you won't want to miss), as well as games and door prizes. Come celebrate with your church family!
4:TWELVE Student Ministry Christmas Party: Sunday, December 17th - 4:12PM - 6PM
For students in grades 6-12 at our Edenton campus, there will be a Christmas celebration. Join us for “Cocoa and Cookies” at our 4:TWELVE Christmas part on Sunday, December 17 from 4:12PM to 6:00PM. We will provide the hot cocoa and are asking students to bring cookies to share. Students are encouraged to come in their most fun and festive outfit. This evening will be full of Christmas fun, but most importantly reminders of why we truly celebrate. This will also be the last time 4:TWELVE will get together before 2018, so don’t miss it!
Christmas Caroling: Wednesday, December 20th - 6:30PM
Meet at the Edenton Campus - bring the whole family and singalong. We'll be bringing Christmas cheer to everyone we find!
Christmas Eve Services
We'll be celebrating Christmas Eve morning at our regular service times to allow families time for their traditions.
Edenton Campus: 9AM & 10:45AM
Bertie Campus: 10:30AM
No matter what the rest of the year may look like for you, no matter if you come to church every week or haven't come since last Christmas, this is a great time to recommit your life to hope, peace, joy, love and Christ.
